About Us

Eat Your Heart Out Pastries was established in 2009 by Myia Goosby, a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Art at Chicago; also a graduate of Roosevelt University School of Business.  As a young adult Myia enjoyed baking at home using cake mixes and prepared cookie dough.  It was during her studies that Myia’s passion for baking and pastries was discovered.  After working in several bakery establishments she was introduced to a wide variety of breads & dessert items, thus increasing her knowledge and improving her skills in bakery production and cake decorating.  As a result of the experiences gained from previous employers, Myia developed a desire to own and operate a pastry business.  The mission of Eat Your Heart Out Pastries is to consistently deliver visually appetizing and delicious baked goods, all made from scratch and from the heart!  The ingredients for our recipes are carefully chosen, only those of the freshest and best quality are utilized.  We also provide flavorful gluten free and sugar free alternatives to cater to the increasing demand for such products.
